YIN Yoga Nidra
Yin Yoga exercises our ligaments, joints, deep fascial networks, and our bones through applying a long, slow traction or compression to targeted areas of the body. The postures are simple and predominantly floor-based yet can be challenging due to the long duration the postures are held. Restoration of the body takes place, promoting water, energy, and nutrition to flow more freely while a deeper sense of ease and inner balance is achieved.
Yoga Nidra is a systematic meditation technique of inducing complete physical, mental and emotional relaxation. The term yoga nidra is derived from two Sanskrit words, yoga meaning union or one-pointed awareness, and nidra, one appears to be asleep, but the consciousness is functioning at a deeper level of awareness. It is in this threshold between sleep and wakefulness, contact with the subconscious and unconscious dimensions occur spontaneously. In this state, the mind can be directed to accomplish anything, such as removing unwanted habits and tendencies, to develop the memory, increase knowledge and creativity, or transform one’s nature.
